Plainfields Cottage

We had a wonderful fall weekend at Plainsfield Cottage! The cottage was cute, clean, and well-stocked. Cathy was a very accommodating host. Thank you!

The perfect location, all the stars and exactly all we needed to visit and celebrate with old friends. Our hosts were old aquaintances and our kids were old schoolmates so we enjoyed a familiarity with the area. The accommodations were perfect for the two of us. I was out early and she slept late. Cathy and KirK, thank you so much. And it was great to re-meet Kelley and her new pet.

Beautiful Cottage! Very comfortable with all the amenities you need. Location was perfect close enough to downtown and College area if you want to go downtown but far enough away to enjoy the quiet and beautiful vistas in the country. Well located for visits to wineries, distilleries , etc. The Train family were great hosts. Would highly recommend!

This cottage is adorable and quite spacious with a wonderful sitting area and kitchenette. The decor was soothing, it was very well appointed with everything you need and very clean. The location was only 15 minutes to UVA and the land and property were breathtaking. Cathy is a great host and made sure I had everything I needed and then some!

Cathy and Kirk were very gracious hosts again this fall and helped us have a very nice stay. This was our second stay with them at their lovely property. Also, Woodford is a fun, friendly dog.

Perfect spot and space for our weekend. The property is beautiful. Unfortunately it rained all weekend. The host went out of her way to share an umbrella with us. We would stay again!

Plainfields cottage was a great base for our 4 day winery trip.Cozet is a cute little town and the cottage is not far from Charlottesville for dinner. We headed out each day and did a couple of wineries coming back each evening to the little cottage and the bluebirds that perched on the back of the adirondack chairs.A great base if you are looking to do the wine trail!

My husband & I stayed at Plainfields Cottage this past weekend (4/21-4/24) and could not have been more impressed. The property was absolutely perfect for our needs & was even more adorable in person than in photos. Our host, Cathy was extremely communicative and hospitable, she made us feel very at ease. The cottage was quaint and clean and made our trip that much more relaxing and enjoyable, we could not recommend it enough!

This was our second time staying at Plainsfields Cottage, and once again it did not disappoint! Centrally located to all we wanted to do; and only a few minute drive to Crozet. We only stayed for two nights, but always wish it were longer. We will be back!

Such a pleasant stay. We had a warm welcome from both the Yellow Lab and the Caretaker. The space is bright and clean and outfitted with anything we might have needed. It was a wonderful spot to enjoy Charlottesville--from visiting our son at UVA to hiking the trails off of Skyline Drive.

It is centrally located to the Blue Ridge Parkway for day hikes, as well as the beautiful wineries in the area along the Monticello wine trail. Woodford, the sweet, friendly lab that lives on the grounds was an excellent host. We really enjoyed him joining us for our morning cup of coffee on the cottage's private patio. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful little cottage off the beaten path on a nice property. Great hosts who made it very homy and easy-going. Would definitely recommend!

Spent a long weekend in a Charlottesville participating in the Crozet Arts Festival.

The rental agency was very helpful with information and taking care of things. The stay at the cottage was wonderful. Very relaxing and convenient location. The owners were welcoming, but also respected our privacy. We really hated to leave. Conveniently located to Monticello, Skyline Drive, University of Virginia,wineries and much more. We ran out of time!!!

We had a very nice and peaceful stay at the cottage. Easy drive to the UVA campus. The cottage was very comfortable and the house and property were Lovely.

Plainsfields Cottage was absolutely perfect for our trip to the Charlottesville area! Situated in a central location to C-ville, Crozet, wineries, breweries, so much great food and views - we went in every direction and it was an easy return and welcomed spot to come back to. The cottage was immaculate, clean and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay! We got some snow flurries and otherwise unplanned chilly weather for April, but the gas heat kept us cozy and warm! Our hosts were attentive with communication if we needed anything, yet very non-obtrusive. We would 150% return and can't wait to! Thank you so much!

The cottage was immaculate. The owners have thought of everything! It was a great quiet getaway in a beautiful part of the country, nearby to everything we wanted to do (Crozet, Charlottesville, breweries, wineries). I didn't want to leave!
