Ramsay Estate Carriage House

The carriage house was the perfect space for quiet weekend getaway with a beautiful view. The property is beautifully maintained, quiet and the hosts are welcoming of you exploring the property. So nice to see a historic property maintained and shared with guests. Access was easy, on-site manager was very responsive with answers to any questions. Living space was clean and had most items you need. We loved it! Will definitely be back.

We absolutely loved our stay at the carriage house. Matt was very helpful, and gave us some dinner recommendations. The house was Convenient to wineries.

The Carriage House at Ramsay Estates was very nice, the location as beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Antique shops, breweries and vineyards are close by. It was an amazing time and would love a return visit

Our stay was wonderful! We loved the mountain view and the accommodations were comfortable and very clean. The location was great for hitting any number off wineries and a couple of breweries. Will look to do it again in the future.

Our stay at Ramsey Estate Carriage House was amazing. The carriage house was more spacious than expected and had everything we needed for a relaxing long weekend. The view from the house is spectacular. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed having the private walking trails to explore. Though it seems secluded, the estate is close to some of our favorite wineries with quick access to Charlottesville. Highly recommend! We hope to return for another stay very soon!

Beautiful location and great space.

Spectacular views, particularly from the deck,in a beautiful part of Virginia. A nice way to enjoy a fine country estate without having to buy one. Very well appointed and comfortable. Really enjoyed seeing the “Oreo” cattle.

GREAT STAY! Stephen, the property manager and local historian who lives in a separate area of the estate, was fantastic. He accommodated an earlier arrival time, he ensured the guest house was spotless, and even had a few local treats waiting for us upon check-in.

Located an easy drive or Uber from downtown Charlottesville, my wife and I were able to both explore Charlottesville and take advantage of the house being in the heart of local winecountry.

Finally, THE VIEW at the property -- by far the best view we saw all weekend was out the side door of the guest house. Million dollar experience for a romantic weekend getaway. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.

The carriage house was sparkling clean and the view from the balcony was unmatched. We’ve visited the area many times but never have been able to wake up to the stunning rolling hill views that This house includes. You feel as if you’re in the country yet downtown Charlottesville is only about a 15 minute drive. We will definitely return and are looking forward to it
