The retreat is comprised of 5 meticulously restored cottages (soon to be 8), seated on a private, gentle knoll, drawing inspiration from the idyllic charm and character of English country cottages merged with the warmth of southern hospitality. The site once known as Albemarle County’s “First Modern Hotel” circa 1938 has been beautifully revived into its newest iteration. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a family adventure, or looking to accommodate a large wedding or reunion party, our charming, fully-equipped cottages can adapt to whatever your needs may be.
