- Cool off with Rivanna River Company and their offerings of kayak, SUP, and tube trips complete with shuttles and guides.
- Saturday morning Farmer's Market: Re-stock your pantry and fridge with goods from local farmers plus so much more! With artisans and freshly prepared food, the Charlottesville market shouldn't be missed.
- King Family Polo: Head out to watch the match on a Sunday afternoon Memorial Day - mid-October. Event is free and tailgates around the field are first-come.
- Fridays After Five: This free summer concert series runs mid-April - September and features food trucks and fun for the whole family.
- Chiles Peach Orchard: With more than just peaches, Chiles offers pick-your-own fruit, wine, a market and bakery. Spend an afternoon soaking up the sun and filling your baskets.
- Local Swimming Spots: In addition to the Rivanna River, take a dip on a hot day at one of our local "beaches" at Chris Greene Lake Park, Walnut Creek Park, or Mint Springs Valley Park.
- White Oak Canyon and Blue Hole: Take a hike and a dip! In Sugar Hollow, Blue Hole is tucked away just outside of Charlottesville while White Oak Canyon is a short drive up 29N and features a natural, waterfall slip-n-slide.
- July 4th Fireworks: Watch the beautiful display from atop Carter's Mountain while enjoying food trucks and live music.
- Ting Pavilion: In addition to their free summer concert series, the Ting Pavilion offers a stellar line-up of musical guests and is just a short walk to The Jeff Hotel.

- Unwind at a local Charlottesville restaurant patio on the historic pedestrian mall like: Miller's, El Bebedero, Citizen Burger Bar, Bizou, Petit Pois, and so many more!
- Kohr Bros: Featuring the original frozen custard, Kohr Bros serves cool treats at two locations in Charlottesville.
- Bold Rock: Grab a glass of seasonal cider and enjoy the meadow at the Nellysford cidery and distillery.
- Veritas: Pack a picnic or order from the kitchen. Veritas has award-winning wines and stunning views that make for an incredible experience.
- Conmole: Offering authentic Oaxacan cuisine, Conmole is a newer addition to the Belmont restaurant row and has quickly become a local favorite.
- South Street Brewery: Located just a block over from the downtown mall, South Street is laid back with their large bar and big open windows.
- Barboursville Vineyards: A beautiful and historic location, Barboursville produces excellent wine and the opportunity to walk the ruins plus Palladio Restaurant with Executive Chef Michael Clough.
