Cope Foster - King Guestroom

Beautiful, historic, centrally located home. Host, Sue was kind, accommodating and gracious. Loved being able to walk everywhere I needed to go, Sue made a wonderful fresh breakfast for me every morning.

This is our second stay while visiting the C’ville area . We enjoyed this stay as well as our past stay. Mrs Foster communicated with us prior to arrival . The accommodations were great and her attentiveness likewise . We will be back !

Quiet, convenient and walkable to Historic Downtown Charlottesville. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The Continental Breakfast was outstanding.

Sue and her historical and beautifully appointed home made our trip. It was like having a private bed and breakfast. Sue makes the most delicious homemade baked goods as part of the breakfast provided each morning. We were thinking of our time spent with Sue long after our journey.

We had an amazing stay, in a beautiful old Virginian home. Thank you Sue hosting us and making us feel very welcome along with serving up an amazing breakfast.

Sue was the most excellent host. Our accommodations were stellar and Charlottesville is a charming place. We will definitely be back!

The hostess made the stay perfect! Lots of local information and even books to thumb through along with great conversation. Continental breakfast was just the right amount. Walk less than 10-min to Charlottesville downtown from the house. Visited Monticello, Michie Tavern, several wineries/orchards, Blue Ridge scenic drive and various town restaurants. Very pleasant stay, highly recommend Cope Foster.

Sue keeps an amazing home, clean and comfortable. Check in and check out were a breeze; the room was large, comfortable, clean and private and the host was friendly and accommodating.

The hostess is very gracious and accomodating. The breakfasts are delicious. The bedroom, sitting room, bathroom are large, comfortable, and clean. The beautiful home is in the historic district and within walking distance to downtown and restaurants.

Add convenience of location, a quiet street, a well-appointed and comfortable room, a tasty and nutritious breakfast, and an exceptional hostess and you have the Cope Foster!! I'll be back for certain!!

The owner of the house, Sue, was so friendly and welcoming. She offered to make us a continental breakfast that was so lovely. The guest room was beautiful and clean and there was a pitcher of ice water waiting for us.

Sue was a great host. Very personable with a varied continental breakfast each day. Even though we were sharing her home, we had our private space so it felt like our home.

Absolutely loved this darling piece of Charlottesville. She was such a gracious host—attentive without being overbearing. The room was perfect for my mother and me to have a little getaway weekend over Mother's Day and Sue kindly accommodated our early morning breakfast needs too. A great location too, a few blocks from the downtown mall. Would love to return. Thank you!!!

Lovely home and delicious breakfasts. Sue was attentive but allowed us privacy. My only suggestion is that, in Covid time, she was not wearing a mask when she would interact with us at breakfast. WE were unmasked to eat and would have been more comfortable had she served us masked. I think the risk was low but we did feel more risk than at hotels where all are masked .
